After a spectacular flight through the Nizina and Skolai valleys, scoping your prospective route along the way, you will land at Skolai Pass (4500') and find yourself surrounded by massive peaks and impressive glaciers. On the other side of Skolai creek, the route follows an old trail along the valley to Frederika Glacier. With attentive route finding, you will travel the Frederika's ice highway, enjoying the bold scenery of the alpine environment. A rigorous climb on the back of an unamed glacier leads to a lofty pass and stunning views of the Rohn and Regal Glaciers.
Descending the green alpine basin before you takes you to the Rohn Glacier. Once again strapping on crampons, you cross the Rohn and Regal Glaciers below the magnificent Chimney Mountain.
**This excursion involves traveling on glaciers and requires specialized knowledge and equipment. It is recommended only for backcountry travelers trained and experienced in glacier travel or as an adventurous guided trip.
