Wrangell-St.
Elias National Park has been called the Himalayas of North America,
and no wonder; this vast area includes numerous mountain peaks from
14,000' to over 19,000', uncounted glaciers, some larger than the
state of Rhode Island, with 20,000 square miles of untracked Alaska
wilderness. Six times the size of Yellowstone National Park, Wrangell-St.
Elias is the largest National Park in the U.S.
Wrangell
Mountain Air offers unique Alaskan experiences beyond the end of
the road. From our base at McCarthy, we offer scheduled air service
and day tours to McCarthy-Kennicott from Chitina and Glennallen,
charter service from most towns in Alaska, and world-class flightseeing.
For the adventurous, fly-in hiking & backpacking trips, rafting,
glacier trekking, & wilderness camping are highly recommend
as day, or multi-day adventures.
Please
browse through our site and online slide
show, then book your trip and explore Wrangell-St. Elias with
us! We'll show you around the largest and most spectacular protected
mountain wilderness in North America.

Having
traveled over 5700 miles throughout interior Alaska this summer
as advertising Representative and Field Editor for the Milepost...I
can honestly say that the highlight of my summer was a flight to
McCarthy on Wrangell Mountain Air.
